The German Film and Television Academy Berlin, founded in 1966, is one of the leading film schools in Europe and offers a professional training for creative careers in directing, cinematography, production and scriptwriting with the federal state of Berlin as its shareholder.
The first three years of studies are finished with the shooting of a short film. The more extensive graduation film is often realized in co-production with film producers or TV stations. The lectures at the dffb are almost exclusively held by experienced film and television professionals.
